We are a Church of England School and have very strong links with Christ Church, Willaston, where our vicar takes weekly Collective Worship in school and we visit Church every term for special whole-school services to mark many of the important events within the Christian calendar.

Important Information during Christ Church re-ordering
There are no further services at Christ Church as the church will be closed from 23rd September 2024 till early May, 2025 for re-ordering. Services continue at 9am each Sunday at the Methodist Church during this period. There will be no 10.30 am services for Christ Church until further notice. Opportunities to Help in School
There are lots of opportunities for you to help in school in many different ways. We encourage members of our community to become Reading Rangers and Forest School Helpers. If you have an interest in cooking/baking, sewing, gardening or any area of the curriculum and would like to help in school please contact the school office.

Charity / Fundraising
West Cheshire Foodbank – We continue to support West Cheshire Foodbank Charity, which are part of the Trussell Trust Organisation. We hold regular Foodbank Collections, which are then collected for distribution by the team.
Macmillan Coffee Morning – Huge thanks to everyone in the community that supported our Macmillan Coffee Morning last year. A huge £1447 has been raised for Macmillan Cancer Support!!This is an absolutely fantastic amount of money, and we are so grateful for your wonderful support. Heartfelt thanks to everyone, you are amazing! Our next coffee morning will be planned for Spring Term 2025.
Children In Need – As a school we talk to our children about the huge difference that supporting Children In Need makes to local projects such as Claire House Children’s Hospice and Cheshire Deaf Society to name but a few.
The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal – We support The Royal British legion Poppy Appeal every year, and our year 6 pupils rise up to the responsibility of raising funds by selling poppies to children in the playground during breaks. Huge thanks to everyone for supporting this wonderful charity. Our House Captains and Governors also lay wreaths at Willaston War Memorial on Remembrance Sunday on behalf of our school community.
Claire House – We continue to support Claire House Children’s Hospice, which is a local charity very close to our hearts. We hold a variety of fundraising activities each year, and would like to thank parents for their continued support of this wonderful charity.
Dogs Trust – Children participated in Dogs Trust Class Education Workshops, where a representative from Dogs Trust spoke to children about animal senses and how to approach a dog safely. The free workshops contributed towards Dogs Trust’s aim of encouraging and motivating children to behave safely around dogs, to consider the needs of the dogs they currently live with, and to be responsible dog owners in the future. The children thoroughly enjoyed the sessions.

Willaston Tennis Club In 2019, we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the re-opening of the village tennis courts after these were abandoned to nature decades before. As part of our celebrations, we became affiliated to the LTA as a Registered Venue with all the benefits that gives our members. New members are always welcome and there is no joining fee. The Friends of Hadlow Road Station is a Community group of volunteers working hard so that Hadlow Road Railway Station can be enjoyed by the local community. They have a number of events throughout the year to raise vital funds including their regular pop-up cafe mornings.
