Welcome to our Year 1 class at Willaston CE Primary School! We are taught by Miss Hughes and we are so excited to share with you the wonderful learning journey our children are on. Year 1 is a time of curiosity, discovery, and joy, where every child is encouraged to grow in confidence, independence, and creativity. Our classroom is a welcoming, friendly place where all questions and contributions are welcomed and children feel safe, happy, and ready to learn together.

Our curriculum is creative, engaging, and hands-on, designed to spark imagination and encourage children to explore the world around them. From storytelling and art to science experiments and outdoor learning, we make sure that every lesson is active and enjoyable. We want our children to be inspired, challenged, and supported, helping them to develop a love of learning that will last a lifetime.
Most importantly, our Year 1 children are simply fantastic!

They bring energy, enthusiasm, and kindness into everything we do. Their curiosity and ideas make our classroom a lively and exciting place to be, and we are proud of the way they care for one another and work together. We are looking forward to an amazing year full of fun, learning, and achievement!
